ARRIVAL - DAY 1
Once you arrive at the Leonardo da Vinci Airport you will be met by our welcome team then whisked away in your waiting limousine to the delightful Hotel Aldrovandi Palace, your residence for five nights.
Privately managed, this grand hotel was refurbished in 2004 to render it one of the most sought-after addresses in Rome, located within Rome's most upscale residential area, between the green expanse of Villa Borghese gardens and the historical reminiscences of Valle Giulia and the Borghese Gallery.
With its private park, outdoor pool and garden dining, the hotel is an elegant oasis of relaxation and you can indulge in the amenities of a resort while staying in the center of the city. The poolside Michelin - starred restaurant of the hotel, 'baby', features the genius of Chef Alfonso Iaccarino, directly from Don Alfonso 1890, the haute-cuisine restaurant in the Sorrento peninsula.
ROME BY DAY AND ROME BY NIGHT - DAY 2
After breakfast you will be met by your guide. You will escape the crowds and traffic of the tourist zone and see the Rome that other visitors don't know about, Trastevere neighborhood and the Old Jewish Ghetto.
Come night time your guide will take you on an electrifying walk through the Eternal City as the sun sets and night begins! Highlights include the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Capitoline Hill, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.
ABBEY OF FARFA TOUR - DAY 3
Farfa, Olive Oil and Wine and Medieval Villages await. Driving in the luxurious comfort of a 4x4 vehicle of your choice, you will not notice the one hour drive from Rome, the Sabina area is perfect for a day trip.
This wine and food tour begins with a stop in the Abbey of Farfa, built in the year 680 and still inhabited by the Benedectine order. With your guide you will be able to visit the Church of Santa Maria, its crypt and cloister. Inside the church, on the interior wall of the facade, we will admire the "last judgement", an oil fresco dating back to 1571 by the Flemish Henrick van der Broek as well as frescos by Orazio Gentileschi. Important art works, archeological pieces, 45,000 antique manuscripts and engravings are gathered at the monumental abbey complex.
An olive oil tasting has been arranged for lunch with "bruschetta" and a selection from the entire Sabina region in the oleoteca of the Farfa Abbey.
From the abbey we will visit the largest olive tree found in Canneto which is seven meters across and two thousands years old. Wine tasting follows, including lunch at "Tenuta Santa Lucia" near Poggio Mirteto. Our charming host Gabriella will guide us step by step through the ancient tradition of producing her wonderful wine. You will be delighted by tasting its flavour that matches perfectly with her genuine home made lunch. Afterwards, we will visit some of the medieval castles and the famed villages of Rocchette & Rocchettine. The Castle of Rocchettine (XIII century) was inhabited until fifty years ago and is now one of the most significant sights of Sabina.
SHOPPING - DAY 4
We have arranged personal shopping itineraries in the most elegant shopping district in Rome. You will be given your very own personal shopper. Together, you'll not only find just what you were looking for, but you'll save time and money as well. You will visit places like Via Bocca di Leone, Via Condotti, Via Borgognona, Via Belsiana and Piazza di Spagna.
SUPER CAR DRIVE - DAY 5
This day will be the stuff of boyhood dreams. A selection of three super cars will feature for the day's entertainment. You will drive all three cars during the day, along predetermined routes stopping off to sample some of the local cuisine.
Unfortunately no alcohol will be allowed during the day. At the end of the day you will return to the hotel and quench your thirst with champagne and canapes. Our fleet of Super cars have been handpicked for their comfort, luxury, style and performance rather than their outright racing prowess.
RETURN HOME - DAY 6
After helping you to check out your PlayUKinternet Assistant will ensure your vacation ends as enjoyably as it started by arranging your limousine to take you back to Leonardo da Vinci Airport, guide you through check in and wait for your departure.
