"A holiday for life!" is what most people would expect to enjoy after winning 9,000,000 Euro in the EuroMillions lottery, but this is apparently not the case for railway worker Carl Prance.

The UK railway system has often been compared to the arteries in the human body, carrying what is needed to keep the nation operating. For Carl Prance, trains are in his blood, and after snapping up his windfall, he spent ten months travelling and enjoying the high life.

Having squashed the travel bug, Carl was eager to get back to work as soon as possible.

'I was delighted when they offered a job in the offices,' he said. 'It meant I was working with trains and my old workmates again.'

Mr. Prance and five close family members shared £ 6.9 million (approx. 9 million Euro) in October, a share of a £88 million EuroMillions jackpot.

He had previously failed to meet certain medical requirements that would allow him to continue driving trains, which he had done for 34 years, but was able to take on a new role in roster setting.

The number 88 comes up again this week as Friday's 88 million Euro jackpot has appreared as a result of 5 consecutive Euro Millions rollovers.
